What We Offer

HearSay LLC in Staten Island, New York offers a variety of communication access services. Contact us for a consultation with one of our experts to assess an individual’s needs or to request a service.

On-Site CART Provision

This service puts everything that is said into text on a screen for the person to read. "On-site" simply means that the CART provider is in the same location as the consumer.  The consumer may be reading the transcript off of the provider’s laptop and view the live verbatim text simultaneously as the words are being spoken (as seen in picture above).

In most other cases, the provider and consumer are connected via wireless internet conference software. The consumer has the option of accessing the transcript through any of their own wireless devices (laptop, tablet, or smartphone) or one provided by our company that has a stable internet connection and supports the conferencing software being used. Upon request, they will receive an electronic copy of the transcript. Transcription turnaround times may vary depending on the length of the audio being transcribed.

On-Site CART Provision

This service is when the CART provider is in the same location as the consumer. The consumer may be reading the transcript off of the provider’s laptop and view the live verbatim text simultaneously as the words are being spoken.

In other cases, the provider and consumer may be connected wirelessly via internet conference software. The consumer has the option of accessing the transcript through any wireless device (laptop, tablet, or smartphone) that has a stable internet connection and supports the conferencing software being used.

Remote CART Service

This service is very similar to on-site CART except the CART provider is in a remote location. The consumer will need to connect to the internet and will be provided with step-by-step login instructions as well as a one-time password for internet conferencing software, which will allow the remote CART provider to share the screen with the consumer.

The consumer will need to have an omni-directional microphone in their wireless device or use an external USB microphone. This makes it possible for the CART provider to have access to the auditory information being provided.
